THE NEXT CHAPTER

For over 50 years, we have ministered in and to the Saint Albans community. God used what began as a small Bible study in 1974 to write a beautiful story of faithful Gospel service in a community we dearly love. We thank God for his provision across many seasons of ministry.

As seasons change, communities change. People move out and move in. Businesses close and open. When communities change, their needs change. While Jesus' Great Commission to His church to share the good news of salvation graciously available by faith in His death, burial, and resurrection does not change, churches must occasionally revisit their identity to meet their neighbors' new needs.

God is still writing The Crossing Church's story, and we believe that it is time for the next chapter of ministry to begin as we seek to share timeless hope in a changing community. We want to steward the past investment of faithful Christians at our church while casting a brand new vision for the future.

In the Fall of 2025, The Crossing Church will launch as a new church plant with the help of the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. We called a new pastor in the fall of 2024, and we will have a new name and a new approach in the fall of 2025. We invite you to learn more about what that means by visiting us, asking us questions, and watching for updates on our website and our social media pages. While many things might change in the coming months, one thing certainly will not. We love Saint Albans, because Jesus loved her and gave himself for her. We look forward to finding new ways to serve and love our community in Jesus' name.
