Psalm 30 Joy in the Morning A psalm; a dedication song for the house. Davidic.
1 I will exalt You, LORD, because You have lifted me up and have not allowed my enemies to triumph over me. 2 LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me. 3 LORD, You brought me up from Sheol; You spared me from among those going down to the Pit.
4 Sing to the LORD, you His faithful ones, and praise His holy name. 5 For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor a lifetime. Weeping may spend the night, but there is joy in the morning.
6 When I was secure, I said, "I will never be shaken." 7 LORD, when You showed Your favor, You made me stand like a strong mountain; when You hid Your face, I was terrified. 8 LORD, I called to You; I sought favor from my LORD: 9 "What gain is there in my death, in my descending to the Pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it proclaim Your truth? 10 LORD, listen and be gracious to me; LORD, be my helper."
11 You turned my lament into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, 12 so that I can sing to You and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise You forever.

PSALM 27 My Stronghold
Davidic.
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation- whom I should I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life- of whom should I be afraid? 2 When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh, my foes and my enemies stumbled and fell. 3 Though an army deploy against me, my heart is not afraid; though war break out against me, still I am confident.
4 I have asked one thing from the LORD; it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the LORD and seeking Him in His temple. 5 For He will conceal me in His shelter in the day of adversity; He will hide me under the cover of His tent with shouts of joy. I will sing and make music to the LORD.
7 LORD, hear my voice when I call; be gracious to me and answer me. 8 In Your behalf my heart says, "Seek My face." LORD, I will seek your face. 9 Do not hide Your face from me; do not turn Your servant away in anger. You have been my help; do not leave me or abandon me, God of my salvation. 10 Even if my father ad mother abandon me, the LORD cares for me.
11 Because of my adversaries, show me Your way, LORD, and lead me on a level path. 12 Do not give me over to the will of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, breathing violence.
13 I am certain that I will see the LORD's goodness in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the LORD; be courageous and let your heart be strong. Wait for the LORD.

New Testament
Romans 12 A Living Sacrifice 1 Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Many Gifts but One Body 3 For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one. 4 Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function, 5 in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another. 6 According to the grace given us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the standard of faith; 7 if service, in service; if teaching, in teaching; 8 if exhorting, in exhortation; giving, with generosity; leading, with diligence; showing mercy, with cheerfulness.
Christian Ethics 9 Love must be without hypocrisy. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Do not lack diligence; be fervent in spirit; serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer. 13 Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. 16 Be in agreement with one another. Do not be proud; instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation. 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Try to do what is honorable in everyone's eyes. 18 If possible, on your part, live at peace with everyone. 19 Friends, do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for His wrath. For it is written: Vengeance belongs to Me; I will repay, says the Lord.20 But If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink. For in so doing you will be heaping fiery coals on his head. 21 Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.

2 Peter 1:3-21 Growth in the Faith 3 For His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him Who called us by His own glory and goodness. 4 By these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, 6 knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness, 7 godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 The person who lacks these things is shortsighted, and has forgotten the cleansing from his past sins. 10 Therefore, brothers, make every effort to confirm your calling and election, because if you do these things you will never stumble. 11 For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplied to you. 12 Therefore I will always remind you about these things, even though you know them and are established in the truth you have. 13 I consider it right, as long as I am in this tent, to wake you up with a reminder, 14 knowing that I will soon lay aside my tent, as our Lord Jesus Christ has also shown me. 15 And I will also make every effort that after my departure you may be able to recall these things at any time.
The Trustworthy Prophetic Word 16 For we did not follow cleverly contrived myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; instead, we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, a voice came to Him from the Majestic Glory: This is My beloved Son. I take delight in Him! 18 And we heard this voice when it came from heaven while we were with Him on the holy mountain. 19 So we have the prophetic word strongly confirmed. You will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dismal place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. 20 First of all, you should know this: no prophecy of Scripture comes from one's own interpretation, 21 because no prophecy ever came by the will of man; instead, moved by the Holy Spirit, men spoke from God.
