THE CO-OPERATIVE PROGRAM
The Crossing is committed to spreading the Gospel to the farthest reaches of the globe! To help ensure that every person possible has a chance to hear the Gospel and accept Jesus as their Lord, the Crossing participates in the Southern Baptist Convention's Co-Operative Program. The Co-Operative Program takes every bit of the funds given by Southern Baptist Churches across the world and uses them directly to fund missions on a state, national, and global scale in accordance with Acts 1:8. By working together we are able to reach people in a way that we would have much greater difficulty doing on our own.

The church gives a regular percentage of its tithes to this portion of the Co-Operative Program in addition to the yearly funds collected for the Ola Cox Offering (collected during ).

In addition to our work with the Co-Operative Program, our church supports other missionaries and mission works at a local, state, national, and international level. We seek to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and welcome fellow believers to contribute and assist us in completing this incredible work!

On June 13,2011 during the Sunday Morning service Mr. Corbin from Union Mission spoke about the ministry's work in our area, the provision of God for that ministry, and very powerfully on the nature of giving from the heart. To read the notes that go with his message CLICK HERE.
Union Mission Ministries operates 5 basic ministry programs: Crossroads (shelter for men), Brookside (shelter for women and children), Outreach (food distribution program), The Thrift Store (reduced/donated clothing, furniture, etc.), and Family Services (food, clothing, furniture, utilities, etc.). At The Thrift Store customers may purchase goods at extremely low prices; Outreach provides food baskets; and Crossroads and Brookside provide warm meals and a roof for those without homes in the area. In each of these ministries there is tremendous emphasis placed on Christ as the source for meeting our true needs and the earthly needs merely a means to allow those in need a chance to look beyond those needs to the Savior.
